In 2014, we see the concept of virtual reality introduced to society with Oculus. Following Oculus, which Meta (Facebook) acquired, Samsung, Sony, and Google launched their products. In 2015, the first unmanned vehicles were introduced to the market. The transportation sector began to move towards a completely different future with unmanned vehicles. 2019 was the year of quantum computing. Google's Sycamore processor, which is faster than the world's most powerful computers, is still grappling with a number of problems today, primarily high energy consumption. In 2020, we met Covid, an important disruption that affected us all. Although not a technological development, the presentation of the genetic map of the coronavirus to the academic world in as short a period as 3 weeks affected almost all of the above technologies, however marginally. … and at the end of 2022, ChatGPT arrives… It will probably go down in history as the mother of disruptions after the Internet. It has only been 1.5 years since its emergence. It is too early to say what long-term effects it will have. But one thing is for sure, even in the past 18 months, it has started to affect not only the world of technology but also all patterns from the work environment to education.
