In 1850, American cartographer, historian and philosopher Henry David Thoreau , author of the book "Civil Disobedience", said, "They are trying to build a telegraph line between Maine and Texas, which is beautiful. But what reason could there be to communicate between Maine and Texas?" In 1877, US President Rutherford B. Hayes said, "The telephone is a great invention, but who would use it?" In 1899, American Patent Office Commissioner Charles H. Duell said, "There is nothing new anymore. Everything that could be invented has been invented." In 1902, American scientist Lee Dee Forest said, "Even if television is theoretically and technically possible, I think it is commercially and financially impossible; one should not waste time developing it." In 1911, Commander-in-Chief of the French Armies, Marshal Ferdinand Foch , said, "Airplanes are nice toys. But they have no military value." In 1944, President of Twenty Century Fox, Daryik F. Zanuck , said, "Television will disappear from the market in six months at the latest. People don't want to look at a box like that every evening." In 1949, Popular Mechanics Magazine wrote, "Computers will perhaps only weigh 1.5 tons in the future." In 1977, President of Digital Equipment Corp., Kenneth Olsen , said, "I see no reason for people to have computers in their homes." We can clearly see today how wrong all those who uttered these words in the past were, despite being experts in their fields. When the internet was first used, when the first mobile phone was marketed, when the first website was established, when the first social network was established, when the opportunity to shop online was first offered, or when a video call was made for the first time via computer, what did you think? Perhaps you found it very unnecessary or never expected it to become so widespread. Today we are living a digital revolution and a new concept has begun to enter our lives: "Metaverse or Virtual Universe" So, what is "Metaverse"? The concept of Metaverse first appeared in the science fiction novel "Snow Crash" published in 1992 by American novelist and essayist Neal Town Stephenson (1959 - ...) . Metaverse is the creation of 3D persistent virtual environments through computers or augmented reality devices. Metaverse offers users a virtual world and collaboration opportunities. With the increasing use and widespread adoption of Metaverse, new perspectives will emerge in daily life. Although Metaverse is still undeveloped and seems much simpler, it will evolve over time and have incredible features. With this development, we can see its impact primarily in the following sectors and areas: More effective communication will be established with consumers or institutions in advertising and promotional campaigns. It will be possible to make many promotions that are not noticed in daily life, and these promotions can be specially designed for individuals. Consumers or institutions will have the opportunity to evaluate the effect and efficiency of a product (good or service) before purchasing it. Although touch, taste and smell are not possible, it is possible to see some products in three dimensions with sound and images, and it will be possible to try them with personal "Avatars" (Robots) created in the virtual universe. Brands will be able to gauge consumer interest and reaction by launching their products in the Metaverse before bringing them to the real market. It will be easier to conduct surveys or similar studi…
