Teleportation, holograms, and nomadic avatars – the future of work has arrived. The future is happening today. Therefore, it is possible to define the new working environment as Metawork. Today, let's talk a little about the codes of the new future. The transition to remote and hybrid work will largely be permanent, so virtual offices are now taking over the work. For example, Microsoft is preparing to launch Mesh for Microsoft Teams, which provides mixed reality for users with the option to join meetings as customized avatars and collaborate on projects through shared holographic experiences. Metaverse option Mesh for Microsoft Teams also offers companies the option to create virtual environments. Another feature is that it creates a "gateway to the metaverse." So these are added to the end of big data, and everything can be stored and accessed there. Nothing is lost. When Microsoft explains this, it states, "As a company focused on productivity, information workers, this is something customers really want from us, and it combines with our mixed reality vision that we've been working on for 12 years." It's all coming together In short, everything is coming together. Meta introduced Horizon Workrooms last year. By connecting through virtual reality (VR), colleagues can work together in the same virtual workspace and create everything together. Horizon Workrooms promises, "Meet your teammates across the table even if you're on the other side of the world and turn your home office into your favorite remote meeting room." Brands are embracing the work Creating branded virtual workspaces is gaining popularity. Wunderman Thompson launched a virtual conference center at CES 2022. Breakroom by Sinespace, "a new social hub for remote teams," became available in April 2022. The company can also set up a branded office within 24 hours. Gather launched the following month, aiming to "make virtual interactions more human." Applications such as Kumospace and gen-Z startup Branch also work in similar ways to Gather, focusing on increasing organic interactions by using virtual rooms that mimic physical environments where users' avatars can move and interact. Change from the metaverse The way we connect, live, and work is transforming thanks to the metaverse. The future of work is a hybrid business world led by virtual workspaces that create new forms of creativity, collaboration, and communication. New members of new offices This restructuring of offices brings with it other changes. For example, a new senior executive position is gaining popularity: Chief Impact Officers. The US chain Taco Bell chose Lil Nas X as its first CIO… Corporate senior executives are adding chief impact officers (CIOs) to their boardrooms, with the role designed to showcase a brand's community and social impact. Lil Nas X, himself a former Taco Bell employee, was appointed as the fast-food chain's first CIO. The honorary position coincided with the release of the artist's album "Montero" and supports Taco Bell's scholarship program for young creatives. Lil Nas X appeared in advertising campaigns for Taco Bell's breakfast menu and states that the brand "leverages its deep history to create an impactful experience for all Taco Bell team members." Leadership is changing: Forget what you know The definition of leadership in the world is changing very rapidly. Both in private conversations and in my work on leadership communication and coaching with CEOs and senior executives, t…
