Species Value Initiative

The Species Value Initiative (SVI) is a transparent, auditable, bilingual reference platform for the economic value of non-human species. For each species, direct, ecosystem-service and existence values are computed separately, with sources and methodology notes published openly. The platform is designed for development banks, insurers, public bodies and research centers that need a defensible reference for pricing biodiversity loss. The live species list, coverage explorer and valuation request form are all accessible from the platform. The methodology is developed under TBV — Başlangıç Noktası (BN) as a continuation of the Interspecies Money project, but is positioned as an independent reference platform.
